Medical Director and Consultant Psychiatrist job opportunity.
Main Responsibilities of the Role:
-Responsible clinician for 12-14 adult acute patients
-Attend Senior team management meeting
-Managerial supervision of Junior Doctors
-Attend local medication management meeting
-Attend local Clinical Governance meeting on a monthly basis.
-Overseeing day to day management and providing input to MDT on complex cases
-Overseeing Recruitment for senior team members.
-Rota management for doctor and on call rotas.
-On occasion meeting with outside agencies that visit the hospital on an ad hoc basis
– Participate in a 2nd on call rota on a remote basis
– Full time opportunity

Qualifications and Experience
-Previous Deputy or Medical Director experience would be advantageous but not essential.
-GMC registration and Medical Degree- Essential
-Section 12 and Approved Clinician Status- Essential
-CCT or CESR- Essential
– MRCPsych or FRCPsych- Essential
– MBBS or MBChB medical degree or equivalent- Essential
