Locum Consultant Learning Disabilities Psychiatry

Mentus Recruitment and proud to be working with an independent hospital in the Northamptonshire area to offer the role for Locum Consultant in Learning Disabilities psychiatry.

We are working in partnership with our esteemed client who are leading specialist in secure inpatient services. The hospital is set on a beautiful location and offers world class treatment to services users with a range of complex emotional and behavioral mental health conditions.

The role of Consultant in Learning Disabilities and ASD psychiatry is based on secure ward with 20 inpatient beds. Working alongside a specialty doctor and a team of consultants, you will provide medical care to patients with a person centered approach.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Offering leadership and guidance as well as being Responsible Clinician for patients
• Leading the MDT team and liaising with external professionals and ensure quality standards for all patients
• Delivering high quality care to patients and families
• Providing care to all patients on the ward with the support of a specialty doctor and team of physical health specialists
• Attending MHA meetings and completion of MHA reports

Details:

• Working 37.5 hours, full time hours Monday to Friday- Part time Availability will be considered
• Experience of working with either Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, Autism or Forensic Patients.
• Must hold Section 12 and AC status.
• This job will commence with an ASAP start and the initial contract will be for 3 months with likely extension
