We are working in partnership with our esteemed client who are leading specialist in adult inpatient services. The hospital is based in the South Leeds areas and has 40 beds over 3 wards.
The hospital has an experienced medical and multidisciplinary team that support patients with acute mental health needs.
The role of Consultant in Adult Psychiatry is based on a PICU ward and you would be the responsible clinician for 12 patients.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Working on a newly opened 12 Bed PICU Ward
- Offering leadership and guidance as well as being Responsible Clinician for patients
- Leading the MDT team and liaising with external professionals and ensure quality standards for all patients
- Delivering high quality care to patients and families
- Providing care to all patients on the ward with the support of a specialty doctor and team of physical health specialists
- Attending MHA meetings and completion of MHA reports
- Working alongside a junior doctor and MDT who support the ward
Details:
- Working Full Time, 40 hours paid per week
- Experience in Adult or Forensic Psychiatry
- Must hold Section 12 and AC status
- Initial contract will be for 3 months with likely extension
- Participation in a 1 in 3 on call rota which is paid on top of hourly rates
