Consultant in Adult Psychiatry for remote only role
Consultant to complete Adult ADHD, ASD and generic mental health screening assessments.
This vacancy is for remote only work with a private service that have been established for around 3 years and provide an exceptional level of patient care. Due to their fantastic reputation, they are one of the fastest growing providers of Neurodevelopmental assessments for private patients.
Job Profile:
Specialist Private Practice offering online ADHD/ ASD Assessments plus generic psychiatry services and screening for low-risk patients.
Hours of work: Minimum requirement of 1 day per week.
Assessing or reviewing 3-4 patients per day.
You would need to commit to regular day/s to provide continuity.
This role is available for you to work 1-3 days per week.
Days of work: You can choose a day that suits you, 6 days per week, Monday to Saturday.
Location: This role is to be based remotely and you can work 100% from home (UK based)
Contract: This role is ongoing on a self-employed contract.
Rate of Pay: Hourly pay is circa £115 per hour (Assessment and Admin time paid).
Payment Method: LTD Company or Self Employed
Experience: Demonstrated experience in a relevant role in the NHS or Private Sector.
Patient Profile: Patients are mainly self-funded and some are referred through a private medical insurer.
Consultants would need to have their own indemnity cover for private practice work.
Clinical assessment and admin time is paid.
All assessments and follow up appointments are 100% remote.
Appointment Timings:
o Adult ADHD Assessment – 2 hours appointment, plus 1 hour report time- 3 hours paid.
o ASD Assessments- Full clinical appointment, MDT Meeting, report writing time – up to 5.5 hours paid
o Adult General Assessment – 1 hour appointment plus report time- 1 hour 20 minutes paid.
o Medication Initiation Appointment: 45 minutes clinical time plus 15 min notes/letter time- 1 hour paid
o Medication Reviews: 30 minute appointment plus time to write notes/ letter- 45 Minutes paid
o Extra appointments — will be paid at the consultant’s hourly rate.
